Cards with Depth Baby Card ~ Evie and T's Valentines Day Card

Barb's granddaughter Evie (the official name is ...) ~ trying a technique with paper - making a fake clothesline but want the back to be the opposite of embossing - trying to make a tool to create the depression I'm looking for - not sure of the terminology - using cardboard to make a depression in the paper - created a cardboard cutout that has a removable center to press the paper down to create the depression -

For T's card there is fabric inside holding a heart (have to make it as manly as I can, since he's a guy) and a felted heart is on the front with a frame that is 'floating' above the card itself - this will need a 'box' as well to mail it in ~

Card Fabric 'Envelope' - cut fabric to the size of the pattern for the 'box' - dilute some Elmer's glue with water and paint it over the fabric - hang on a hanger with the top 1/4" over the wire part of the hanger - hang near the boiler - it takes a couple of hours to dry

Flatten by using an iron on the stiffened material in between a piece of folded freezer paper - iron quickly on low cotton (#6) until it is flat - now it can be scored and folded into a more protective 'box' for a card to be mailed in
